Nicknamed: "The Pinball Wizard" as you can't move
without bouncing off a tree or rock.
Description of Site: Very compact (Small!) long
derelict quarry site. Sited on a steep mostly on a
steep hill with some flat ground (which we won't be
using as we'll need it all to park on!). Very narrow
approach road and tight access gate to site.

Leave M62 Eastbound at
J23 and follow A640 New Hey Road into Huddersfield. Turn
Right onto Huddersfield Ring Road (A62). Go Through next
2 sets of lights. At next junction (Chapel Hill), the
road splits 3 ways. Stay in Middle lane and continue
down hill, through both sets of lights at bottom of hill
and straight on to Lockwood (A616).
At Lockwood Bar traffic
Lights turn left to stay on A616, now Woodhead Road
(CARE!! this roads stiff with speed cameras almost all
the way to the site and is mostly 30mph) and continue
through Berry Brow to Honley. Keep in the left
lane to stay on A616, now called New Mill Road).
Continue through
Brockholes until New Mill. Turn Left onto A635 Penistone
Road and, almost straight away, fork left onto Sude
Hill. Continue uphill. Road will become Horn Lane and
get quite narrow. Site is wooded area on left.
Access is via single
bar galvanized gate (narrow tight turn). If you get to
the Acre lane turn off on your left you've overshot and
need to turn around.
